The safety of our clients and staff is a priority as well as continuing to offer Veterinary care to our patients that need them. Guidelines are constantly being reviewed, and, in line with this, we are adapting our service to ensure we comply. These are all temporary measures and will only be implemented for the necessary amount of time.
The current situation is:
Appointments will only be available for urgent / emergency cases. We may carry out a telephone consultation first to assess what is appropriate for your pet. Please call the surgery on 01538 373666 if you have any concerns about your pet.
We are happy to delay Vaccinations for up to 3 months from the date that they are due. New guidelines may allow us to do first vaccinations for puppies / kittens, as well as first annual boosters. This will depend on each individual situation and each case will be risk assessed before a decision is made to proceed – please call for advice.
If you have been asked to bring your pet in for an appointment, please call us on arrival. Clients will not be allowed to enter the building; we will collect your pet from you at the front door and then discuss our findings with you over the phone.
We are currently only accepting payments by card, over the phone. If this isn’t an option for you, please let us know when you call.
Repeat prescriptions and food ordered may take a little longer to arrange due to changes being implemented by our wholesaler. Please make sure that you allow extra time when ordering. The suggestion is 3-4 days rather than the usual 24 hours. It is probably advisable to have an extra month’s supply of medication for your pet at home to ensure that there are no breaks in their treatment (Unfortunately, certain medications will be exempt from this). We will be requesting payment over the phone prior to collection. Medication, food etc will be dispensed through the large grey gates at the back of our premises in Sneyd Street – look for the sign that says ‘Collection Point’. Please call us when you arrive and we will bring your items out to you.
